General terms and conditions of business
1. Scope
All orders, bookings, and services concluded via the website sweetsociety.ch or directly with Sweet Society, Nathalie Haas (hereinafter referred to as "Sweet Society") are subject to the following General Terms and Conditions (GTC). By placing an order or booking, the customer accepts these GTC. A customer is any natural or legal person who maintains a business relationship with Sweet Society.
2. Ordering and conclusion of contract
By ordering products in the online shop or booking services (e.g., event food bar, coffee cart, catering), the customer submits a binding offer to conclude a contract. The contract is concluded as soon as Sweet Society confirms the order or booking by email. If a product or service is unavailable, Sweet Society is not obligated to fulfill it; any payments already made will be refunded. There is no general right of return for products.
3rd Prizes
All prices are quoted in Swiss francs (CHF) and include VAT. Shipping costs, delivery charges, and any setup and dismantling fees will be charged separately and displayed during the ordering or booking process. Sweet Society reserves the right to adjust prices at any time without prior notice.
4. Payment
For online shop orders, the payment methods listed at checkout are available (e.g., credit card, Apple Pay, TWINT). Payment is due immediately. For event bookings, Sweet Society may require a deposit of 30–50% of the total amount, payable within 10 days of invoicing. The remaining balance is due no later than 7 days before the event.
5. Delivery, inspection obligation and return
Products are shipped by mail or courier to the delivery address provided by the customer. Risk of loss or damage to the goods passes to the customer upon shipment. The customer is obligated to inspect the delivery immediately and report any defects in writing within 48 hours. Returns are at the customer's expense and risk and only accepted after prior agreement. Goods must be returned in their original packaging, unopened, and complete.
6. Services at events (Event Food Bar / Coffee Cart)
- Sweet Society undertakes to carefully provide the agreed services on the booked date.
- Changes in scope or procedure (e.g., duration, number of people, location) must be communicated by the customer in a timely manner and may result in price changes.
- The customer is responsible for providing the necessary infrastructure (e.g., power connections, access, parking space), unless otherwise agreed.
7. Cancellation Policy (Events)
- Free cancellation up to 30 days before the event date.
- Up to 14 days before the event date: 50% of the agreed price is due.
- Less than 7 days before the event date or no-show: 100% of the agreed price will be charged.
- Any advance payments already made will be offset against the cancellation fees in accordance with the above conditions.
8. Right of withdrawal (online shop)
There is no statutory right of withdrawal for orders placed in the online shop.
9. Complaints
Customer satisfaction is our highest priority. Complaints must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of receiving the goods or services (email to hello@sweetsociety.ch). Repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund will only be provided in the case of a justified complaint.
10. Transport damage
Sweet Society accepts no liability for damage incurred during transport, unless caused by the customer's own negligence. The customer must report any transport damage directly to the transport company.
11. Liability
Sweet Society is only liable for damages caused intentionally or through gross negligence.
- Sweet Society accepts no liability for failures caused by force majeure, weather conditions, official measures or other circumstances beyond its control.
- The customer is responsible for any health risks (e.g., allergies, intolerances). Sweet Society will list the ingredients used upon request, but accepts no liability for any adverse reactions.
- For products from third-party manufacturers, the manufacturer is solely liable.
12. Vouchers and discounts
Vouchers and discount codes cannot be combined. Cash payments are not possible. Only one voucher can be used per order.
13. Data protection
Sweet Society collects and processes customer data solely for the purpose of processing orders and providing services. Data is only shared with necessary service partners (e.g., payment providers, delivery services). Further information can be found in the privacy policy at sweetsociety.ch.
14. Final Provisions
Swiss law applies exclusively. The place of jurisdiction is the registered office of Sweet Society, Nathalie Haas. Should individual provisions of these terms and conditions be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
